I have just started into my tank, it has been up and running for 3 months now and i was intending to ease my way into coral. My concern is for the ecology of the hobby and wish to not purchase corals that are obviously straight out of the ocean. Does any one have suggestions as to the best method of getting started with this?

Hi Garry and welcome to ReefSafe

There are several 'coral farms'' around the country that grow colonies and then frag them for resale .. this massively cuts down on the impact to wild sources.

Fishmansfrags is one such outlet where he has literally thousands of home grown corals available to the home reefer.
