Hi an dwelcome to the best forum going :tu:

There are some of the best (if not the best) reefers in the country on here so ask as many questions as you need.

Great size tank to start with by the way. Couple of questions..

1 what do you have in the external filter?

2 what do you have in your sump?

And as for a calcium reactor, you shouldnt need one unless you plan on loading your tank with hard corals, softies will be fine as long as all your parameters are ok.
Chop it and scarper !

hi and welcome :wavy:

as has been said....softies will be fine for you without any reactor....leathers, mushrooms, zoas, green star polyps, etc :tu:

where are you based?

It depends on how much happiness you can handle.

Hi Styx :wavy:

As LU says, softies don't ned feeding. They will make their own food using light. Anything extra they will find in the water. If you add food specially for them you run the risk of spoiling your water quality as it won't be used.
