Just read this article and what an eye opener. It also just confirms to me that the best way to deal with white spot is to leave well alone and hope for the best, maintaining the water and feeding pe mysis. Like most people have said. Unless an expert and you know what you are doing do not use copper.

I am really sorry for your loss and hope the other fish survive. Be very careful about moving fish from tank to tank as although you quarantined the fish the parasites will still be in the tank.

i only moved them to treat with copper as i cannot use it in my tank as ive got too many inverts and live rock the other 2 tangs are doing really well both eating and no sign of whitespot and the fish left in my 350 never got it its always the same story tangs are a nightmare but definetly the best fish
